I have an hp laserjet 1100 printer and hp dv6700t notebook, how do i get them to work?

There is no plug in the dv6700t that can connect with my printer. Is there a converter or something that could connect these two?

I heard about a USB converter but can't find it and don't know if it's true or not.

THX for all answers.I have an hp laserjet 1100 printer and hp dv6700t notebook, how do i get them to work?
If it's a USB cord, then you could buy a USB printer cord from your local best buy or any electronics store. If it's an LPT1, then you could probably buy the product below:

But then again, it would probably be cheaper to just buy a new printer. They're very cheap nowadays.

Don't forget to install Vista drivers if you're using Vista.I have an hp laserjet 1100 printer and hp dv6700t notebook, how do i get them to work?
Hi. The article listed below will route you back to your vendor, where you will find some answers. The article indicates that the newer laptop has shed some ports in it's design; but, the good news is, as the article says, there is a USB-to-parallel cable, available at retails outlets as COMPUSA and NewEgg. This cable, as the name suggests, allows users to connect a parallel printer to a USB port. So, while your dv6700t notebook may lack a parallel port, you can convert the existing USB port with one of these cables. Thank you.
that printer is too old and won't work if you are using vista it was discontinued by hp
I HATE PRINTERS !

Especially epsons, the best way to deal with them is to blow them up !
