I have an HP Color laserjet 1600 printer just six months old which do not print Red, Hp asks me to replace it?

There is leaking with the original majenta catridge supplied by HP as part of the printer and it is 60% full. Now they says that it is a consumable and i have to replace it my own. it will cost 30% of the printer price. I heard these printers have a problem with printing majenta color. any idea or help?I have an HP Color laserjet 1600 printer just six months old which do not print Red, Hp asks me to replace it?
Majenta is a unique color...There are lots of things which consumers dont read n understand wen purchasing such peripherals. The fine print is also often hidden by t sellers..It wil b ideal if u can have a chat with an online tech support person n get t matter sorted out clearly. Also check where u got t printer as it mite have been damaged/mishandled..

HP are good printers for office.Color printers there are other better brands...U can check them too.

Get the help of comsumer Proctectors or try to refill instead of buying a new
I am under the impression that HP has 1 year warranty on its products. If the printer is not printing (and you are assuming that it is the magenta toner), HP should replace the printer. It also depends where you bought the printer from. Places like costco have better warranties than the manufacturers.
There is no issue with the cartridge, however you do need to be very careful with the replacement.

Unfortunately HP does not offer a guarantee on their consumable parts. Thus you will have to replace the magenta toner out of pocket.
mostly red and blue colour is used while printing

so

i think that there is no more red ink in ur cartridge

refill or get a new one

take care
honestly, i have an hp printer and it wont even print. and when it does print, it does not print black and prints weird colors. im gonna get a different printer, maybe epson.
take ur cartridge n check it with the same model of printer, if it work with another printer then it's the fault of ur printer but if it do not then surely its the prob of ur cartridge, other wise the best way is to take them to consumer court!
