HP LaserJet Printer has started forming blotchy spots down center of page?

how do you stop that?

Ink cartiridge is good.

Wonder if it needs cleaning.

What do you think?

Anyone have any links to how to clean an HP LaserJect5L printer

Yup, opld but its an HP -- thats all I gotta say about thatHP LaserJet Printer has started forming blotchy spots down center of page?
Spots or a line? Either way it is probably a fuser problem. Laser printers have a fuser that has a teflon roller that presses the toner down on the paper. These rollers wear out or get damaged. On that printer it is probably not worth replacing. The sleeve alone will run you close to 50 dollars by the time you get it shipped in.

The drum is in the cartridge which you have said is good.HP LaserJet Printer has started forming blotchy spots down center of page?
most laser machines have a drum catrige that has a little felt pad that you would slide back and forth to make sure the drum is clean. if that doesn't work, you would need to buy a new drum.
