The printer does not seem to be a network printer so it will have to be connected to a networked PC or a print server in order to use it on a network. Normally connect it to a networked PC and then enable sharing on the device is about all that should be needed. How do I change an IP address on a HP Laserjet 970cxi?
first you will need to setup a quick %26amp; easy small network. get a dhcp switch to hook up all the connections. setup a workgroup name in the properties of all the clients PCs (right click my computer%26gt;properties%26gt;computer name%26gt;network ID.
then in network settings properties (from control panel), click on the proper connectoin, then goto tcp/ip and set everyones IP as dhcp, so you wont have to mess with them. once its all set up, then move on to the printer....
is the printer a stand alone, or is it connected to someones computer?
if its connected to someones computer, set up printer sharing on that printer, then add it to all the users from Add Printers.
If its standalone, assign it a static IP so it wont change (in the printer properties). once this is done, go to user PCs and add printer from network. you should see it there once the network is set up
