Would this -- http://www.bafo.com/products_bf-1284_F.asp -- work in a HP LaserJet 1100 (C4224A)?

We've got one cord for two printers and we need a second one, preferably one which goes straight from printer to computer. The printer series is discontinued and buying a new printer is out of the question.Would this -- http://www.bafo.com/products_bf-1284_F.asp -- work in a HP LaserJet 1100 (C4224A)?
That cable will not work by itself, you will also need an adapter. The HP LJ1100 uses a micro-centronics connector not a standard 36 centronics connector that the cable you listed has.

This page is a good picture reference of the different types:

You will need an adapter to convert from the 36 centronics to a micro-centronics connector as seen on these web pages:

That should get you going. Those are pretty good printers, I still use my LJ1100.

Best of luck.
