Sure , you can use this printer as a network printer. You can enable sharing properties in the printer and add this printer to other computers by add new printer wizard. We have Hp laserjet 1300 printer in my office. Can we use that hp laserjet 1300 printer as a n/w printer?
Yes you can. Plug in and install the printer on the PC which the printer will be PHYSICALLY plugged into. If you dont have the printer CD, just go to Control Panel and then Printers. Add a Printer and choose LOCAL PRINTER.

Choose the port type, assuming it is USB. The driver should be available in the default list on the next prompt so choose the HP 1300 PCL 5. Choose a name for the printer and set as default printer.

If the install is complete, right click your new printer icon and select sharing. Allow sharing and name it something similar to the printer name.

Now on each other PC, go to Control Panel and Printers. Add a printer and this time choose NETWORK PRINTER. It will perform a search of the network and will show the printer that is plugged into the host PC. Complete the prompts.

Ensure you have printer and file sharing on all PC's. With Vista, ensure password protected printing is disabled as this will block PC's from accessing the printer.
