Small black dots on the pages may due to a nodes and cuts in the drum or PCR roller. Foreign objects in the printer or paper dust can scratch the drum leaving behind deadly results. There is no fix for this as the drum is ruined already, your only choice is to replace the drum.My HP laserJet 1020 prints small black dots in the mid line of a page.
